Quebec Hydro damaged lots of Indian and other lands.

It’s easy to get aggravated these days, from Donald Trump to CMP. CMP has already launched TV ads to convince us that their disastrous project ripping through western Maine is a good thing. I was astonished by their first TV ad which was full of lies.

For example, the TV ad actually said the project would bring hydropower from Québec to Maine. Now we all know that that project is going to take power from Québec and deliver it to Massachusetts. I guess they just don’t dare to acknowledge that. None of that power will stay in Maine.

And they are hiding the damage that Québec Hydro has done, particularly to Indian lands. I had a very exciting fishing experience at a sporting camp owned by an Indian tribe on a spectacular river in Québec.

Sadly, not long after I experienced the amazing fishing there, Québec Hydro started building a dam that was going to end the good fishing and close the sporting camp.

If you haven’t yet signed the petition to give Mainers a chance to vote to stop CMP’s destructive project in our state, please do so soon.
