Don’t miss this conservation celebration

The Evening for the Environment, hosted by the Maine Conservation Voters, is always a great event. It is a celebration of our conservation victories for the year.

It’s always fun to get together with others who share your interests and concerns. A few years ago, I received a very special award at this event, which always draws a big crowd.

This year the event will be held on Tuesday, October 22, from 5:30 to 9 PM at the University of New England’s Innovation Hall in Portland.

And they have a very interesting speaker, Richard Louv, a journalist and author of the national best seller, Last Child in the Woods. And I can tell you, that is a great book.

You can purchase tickets at www.maineconservation.org/evening, or give them a call at their Augusta office, 620-8811.
